L'ARTIS'ANERIE MOULIN DE SAINT-AVIT

You will be assured of a warm welcome by Lionel and Pascale at the Moulin de

St. Avit whether it be for a few days or a long holiday.

Nestling in the valley of Gavaudun at the foot of the medieval village of St.

Avit, birthplace of Bernard Palissy, famous French potter and ceramic artist,

is the restored mill house. Set in 14 acres surrounded by woodland on the

edge of the River Lede you can explore the waymarked woodland trails on foot,

mountain bike or in the company one of Lionel and Pascale's donkeys, bred on

the estate. If you prefer the easy life then you can soak up the sun and lie

by the private swimming pool and then visit the medieval fortified towns,

castles and historical sites scattered around the Perigord and the Haut

Agenais.

There are five en suite bedrooms and a fully equipped gite with terrace on

the edge of the millstream. Breakfast can be taken al fresco or in the

dining room when you can sample the exciting variety of homemade jams. You

can dine in the evening with the family and experience Lionel's gourmet

cuisine accompanied by home grow vegetables and local produce.

What ever you choose to do in this beautiful and peaceful setting, Lionel and

Pascale invite you to share with them their love and knowledge of the area.
